Bloomtrigger is a product of 21st Century thinking. It is this thinking that acts as the guiding principle for the behavior of the organisation. It is the combination of our fundamental knowledge, experience and reality that forms our attitude and embodies the spirit of what we do.
In no particular order
Bloomtrigger believes this planet is facing serious ecological issues, such as climate change, species extinction, toxic pollution and deforestation. No one knows which one might trigger an irreversible and catastrophic collapse in the planet’s life support systems. There is no single act that will avoid the looming ecocrisis. However bloomtrigger believes the overarching crisis resides in the modern, urban human mind, in the values and beliefs that are driving much of the destructiveness. Ultimately it will require a mosaic of solutions to create a big enough behavioural change in people to ensure we become responsible stewards of our planet. The bloomtrigger project aims to be one small, but essential part of that solution.
Bloomtrigger has chosen to focus its attention on rainforest conservation, as it believes that there is the greatest potential for change by tackling this issue. In terms of raising awareness, generating funds and actively influencing the situation on the ground, rainforest conservation has been grossly under represented as an effective solution in the developed world.
Bloomtrigger is here to represent a generation that believes change is necessary in our society and seeks to articulate a space that will have the most impact to bring about that change.
Bloomtrigger is a creative, non-profit organisation. Bloomtrigger believes good design matters, but good communication matters more. We aim to communicate through an interactive and visual medium. The expression ‘a picture speaks a thousand words’, bloomtrigger would like to second that and multiply it by about a million more pictures so that we are loud enough for the entire world to hear.
Bloomtrigger is a grassroots organisation that believes in the power of non-violent action. Bloomtrigger will never compromise its integrity in the name of progress and believes without pride in our actions, we have achieved nothing.
