The bloomtrigger project will enable all people, businesses and primary school children to protect their own share of the rainforest in a simple, affordable and creative way. Together, through our global collaboration the bloomtrigger will grow until we have protected 1 million hectares of rainforest.
Our strategy is to build a sustainable model for rainforest conservation online; a very 21st Century model that brings together people from around the world each playing their small role to collaborate on this unique project.
Ultimately our aim is that bloomtrigger will act as a blueprint for future generations to replicate!
Phase 1...
Who should we ask to become a part of the bloomtrigger project first? In reality deforestation is a problem for all people no matter which part of the world you are from, but this does not help to choose a target audience to begin with. So we thought who are the most important people to get on board, the obvious answer being the youngest generation. It is the young people of today who have the most to gain from helping to tackle deforestation and climate change, plus young people are more likely to listen!
Therefore phase 1 of our strategy is to focus on our educational 'bloom reward' model in primary schools, by engaging young people in schools we aim to establish a credible reputation for bloomtrigger and to begin the project from a grassroots level.
Phase 2...
Once the concept of the bloomtrigger project has been proven in primary schools and we have the support of young people, we will then look to prepare for the launch of phase 2.
Phase 2 will introduce the core creative stage of the bloomtrigger project. It is this stage that will open the project up to capture the imaginations of a much wider global audience of people who have very diverse interests. It is because bloomtrigger understands that in reality no matter how important we think the issue of deforestation and climate change is, not everyone will make this issue their top priority. For this simple reason we know that bloomtrigger must think outside the box and appeal to peoples interests first while enabling them to protect rainforest and help tackle climate change second. We believe phase 2 has the potential to grow the bloomtrigger project big enough to achieve its ambitious targets of protecting 1 million hectares of rainforest.
