Exciting developments are a foot at bloomtrigger HQ. An opportunity presented itself for us to pack up our laptops and relocate to Brazil, so after little pondering… sunshine, samba, being closer to our beloved rainforest, we decided it was the best ‘strategic option’, in other words it beat staying in London to last out the Baltic winter conditions. So despite missing out on all the snow we have been hearing about in the UK, we are enjoying the Brazilian lifestyle and have been made to feel most welcome by the locals here in the south of Brazil. Not wanting to change things too much, we have moved from the Hub Kings Cross to the Hub Curitiba, a wonderful new co-working space recently launched for social entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and collaborate.
So what is next for the bloomtrigger project? Well introducing bloomtrigger to Brazil for starters! With the pilot phase now complete (at least almost complete, we are still wrapping up a few loose ends!), we are now working hard to secure the investment for the next phase of the bloomtrigger project. Our aim is to use the investment to refine the website (www.bloomtrigger.com) created during the pilot in order to scale our model up to reach schools across the world and to help protect a whole lot more rainforest.
Work has already begun in Brazil to identify a community forestry conservation project located in the Brazilian Amazon and/or in the Mata Atlântica (The Mata Atlântica is a highly endangered tropical forest found along the Atlantic coast of Brazil, read more about this incredible ecosystem on Wikipedia: Atlantic Forest). We are also talking to brazilian primary schools and businesses that are interested in helping to pioneer the bloomtrigger project in Brazil, but we need your help with this! If you have any contacts in Brazil or South America, along the lines of schools, businesses, marketing & PR specialists, investors, friends, family etc… then we want to talk to them. Please get in touch and help us develop the next phase of bloomtrigger.
Regular updates on our strategy and progress in Brazil will be coming your way from now on!
